Objectively identify recent stressors in one’s life and plan the best way to eliminate them or cope with them.
Evaluate one’s lifestyle with the aim to design a less stressful one.
Identify future and foreseeable stressful events and plan ahead for them.
Seek social support from family and friends.
Improve on social and communication skills.
Learn some relaxation techniques to control anxiety.
Seek expert advice or professional help to cope with the symptoms and the stressor it self.
Seek out a support group consisting of people suffering from the same disorder.
Seek immediate medical or professional help if feeling suicidal or experiencing unexplained physical complaints such as difficulty in breathing.
